HOW TO COME TO SERRES

The closest airport is in Thessaloniki (SKG).
The distance from the airport of Thessaloniki to Serres is 100 km.
There are two main options to come to Serres from the airport of Thessaloniki:
a) By taxi: cost 100-120 euro (it can be shared by 2-4 persons).
b) By bus: cost 17 euro.

If you arrive as a group, or if you arrive in the same time about and you can meet at the airport, you can use Uber or alternative transportation services. For instance, check the service and prices in the following links  (prices start from 90 euro):

ACCOMMODATION

We received the following offers from two 4-star hotels in Serres (we recommend staying in
one of them:
a) Elpida Resort and Spa: ELPIDA HOTEL AND SPA OFFER
b) Hotel Xenia: PHILLIPOS XENIA HOTEL OFFER
There are another two 2-star hotels in Serres. A double-room costs about 50 euro. We didn’t receive an offer, you may contact them or book via hotel reservation platforms, if you wish.

In Serres there are plenty opportunities for renting a flat/ apartment, at varying prices (according to wat they offer). You may make a reservation via the relevant platforms.

COMMUTING TO THE CAMPUS

The campus of the International Hellenic University is located at the outskirts the town of Serres.

If you stay in Elpida Resort and Spa or Hotel Xenia, you may for a taxi. Ask the reception to call a taxi. We arranged a price of 5 euro with the local taxi company. If you stay downtown (including hotels Metropolis and Galaxy), you may come by foot (15-20 minutes walk) or by bus (Bus number 10, cost 1,20 euro – the University is the terminal station).
