{"id":1405,"date":"2023-05-10T09:39:16","date_gmt":"2023-05-10T06:39:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ba.ihu.gr\/?page_id=1405"},"modified":"2023-09-30T00:51:32","modified_gmt":"2023-09-29T21:51:32","slug":"structure-of-the-curriculum","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ba.ihu.gr\/en\/structure-of-the-curriculum\/","title":{"rendered":"Structure of the Curriculum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The curriculum is organized in 8 semesters that require 4 years of studies and corresponds to 240 ECTS.<\/p>\n<p>In the first two years of studies (semesters 1-4) all students take courses of general foundational knowledge (GFK) and specialized foundational knowledge (SFK).<\/p>\n<p>In the third year of studies (5<sup>th<\/sup> semester) students decide for their major specialization\/ concertation area by choosing from the following options:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>Management and Marketing.<\/li>\n<li>Economics and Financial Management.<\/li>\n<li>Information Systems and Business Research.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In the last two years of studies (semesters 5-8), students are taught additional courses of specialized foundational knowledge (SFK), which are mandatory for all students regardless of the specialization\/ concertation, and specialization courses (SC) that derive from the three specialization\/ concertation options.<\/p>\n<p>In order to graduate and obtain the Bachelor Degree of Business Administration provided by our Department, students must attend and pass 50 courses in total, corresponding to 240 ECTS, of which:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>36 are compulsory courses of general foundational knowledge (GFK) and specialized foundational knowledge (SFK).<\/li>\n<li>2 are English Language courses (ELC)<\/li>\n<li>8 are elective courses from the same specialization\/ concentration area that form the \u201cmajor specialization\u201d of the student.<\/li>\n<li>4 are additional elective courses that may form one or both of the rest specialization\/ concentration areas in order to broaden the scope of studies (if they come from one specialization\/ concentration area, then they form the \u201cminor specialization\u201d of studies).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"\/undergraduate-curriculum-courses\/\"><strong>Go to Undergraduate Curriculum Courses<\/strong><\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The curriculum is organized in 8 semesters that require 4 years of studies and corresponds to 240 ECTS.
