The Department Business Administration organizes a Doctoral Studies Program (3rd Cycle program) since the acad. year 2020-2021. The purpose is the production of high-level, original scientific research, which advances science in research fields that are related to Business Administration.
The graduates of the Doctoral Studies Program are awarded a Doctoral Degree. The learning outcomes lead to qualifications that are relevant for doctoral students according to the indicators of Level 8 of the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning. The graduates of the Doctoral Study Program are expected to staff universities, scientific organization, research centers and other organizations that perform research activities.
The Department announces on its website a call for the expression of interest in the preparation of a doctoral thesis at the beginning of each academic semester. The call defines the research field and the topics of the doctoral theses that will become available in the next semester. The call mentions also the terms and conditions, the procedure for submitting proposals of interest and selecting PhD candidates, as well as the deadline. The doctoral thesis can be developed in Greek or in English.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor Degree (in case it is awarded by a foreign University, it must be recognized by the Greek NARIC Organization).
- Hold a Master Degree in a subject that is relevant to research in Business Administration (in case it is awarded by a foreign University, it must be recognized by the Greek NARIC Organization).
- Have very good command of English (level C1/C1 at least).
Foreign students are accepted under the same conditions as long as they present the recognition of their bachelor’s and master’s degree by the Greek NARIC Organization. In addition, they must obtain a Greek language certificate at level B1 (“good command”) within a period of two years after their admission to the program.
